Upcoming Events
The CERT program prepares volunteers for the critical hours immediately following an emergency event. Trained individuals will be better prepared to sustain themselves, their families and their communities.
When emergencies happen, Pleasant Hill CERT members give critical support to first responders by providing immediate assistance to victims and organizing spontaneous volunteers at a disaster site. CERT members may also help with non-emergency projects that help improve the safety of their communities.

Local Emergency Alert Notifications
The Pleasant Hill area has two primary methods for local authorities to inform residents about an imminent threat to their welfare.
Community Warning System: Initiated by the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s office
Nixle: Initiated by the Pleasant Hill Police Department to city residents.
Hard-wired telephones connected to a provider such as AT&T may receive alerts automatically, however, most people today are using a cell phone or a VoIP service. Residents can sign up with one or both services to receive text or email alerts.
