Our Pleasant Hill vision statement says CERT members are prepared to spontaneously respond to disasters that may affect the Pleasant Hill community. Do you know where, when, and how you should take “spontaneous” actions as a Pleasant Hill CERT volunteer in response to a major disaster? Let’s review and discuss these questions at our upcoming Northwest Area Meeting meeting next Wednesday, September 8, 2026. I would like to try a Wednesday meeting date as opposed to the past Monday dates which seem to conflict too often with holidays when the Community Room is not accessible.
We will meet at the Pleasant Hill City Hall Large Community Room, 100 Gregory Lane, from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Topics will include criteria for self-activation, pre-assembly checklist, assembly to-dos, check-in at assembly point, plus any other questions you may have about what spontaneous assembly entails. Hope you can make the meeting.
