·        SAVE THE DATE:  Saturday April 25, 2026, PH CERT-Wide Exercise

       This meeting is a very important step in preparation for the April 25, 2026, PH CERT-wide exercise.

A radio check will be at 6:45 PM (fifteen minutes prior to the meeting).  See below for instructions.
 
Please participate in a radio check from your home.
If you have an FRS/GMRS radio, please participate in a radio check from your home.

·        At 6:45 PM, I will open the FRS/GMRS net from PH City Hall using channel 6, subchannel (privacy code) 0.  You may or may not be able to hear this transmission.

·        I will announce that the PH CERT SE Area net is open, by saying, “This is a test.  PH CERT Southeast Area, this the Southeast Area Coordinator.  The Southeast Area net is open.  Please respond when you receive this message.  Over.”

·        When you receive the message that the net is open, listen to be sure that the channel is not in use.

·        When the channel is clear, from your home (or someplace very nearby such as your driveway, street, front yard, or back yard), identify yourself (with your first name) and your location.  Street name and nearest cross street(s) are OK if you do not want to give a specific address.
o   Example: “This is a test.  PH CERT Southeast Area Coordinator, this is <your first name>.  I am calling from <address>.  Over.”
o   Wait for an acknowledgment from the PH CERT SE Area Coordinator.

·        Note/report whom you can hear and his/her location.

If you cannot hear the announcement that the SE Area net is open, please note that as well.
