From Congressman DeSaulnier:
A recent study confirmed what many of us have witnessed – California fire seasons now start earlier and last longer due to climate change. I am hosting a Fire Safety Town Hall in Orinda this Saturday, September 13th at 11:00 a.m. to ensure our community takes preventative safety measures and is prepared in the event of an emergency.
At the town hall, I’ll provide an update on fire safety, prevention, and recovery efforts at the federal level and will be joined by expert special guests, Contra Costa Fire Chief Lewis Broschard and Moraga-Orinda Fire Chief Jeff Isaacs, who will highlight local efforts to protect our community.
To join the town hall in person, RSVP here and you will receive the exact location in advance of the event. If you’d prefer to watch at home, the town hall will be livestreamed on both YouTube and Facebook.
I look forward to discussing how we can keep our community safe with you.
