CERT Ham Radio Licensing and Certification Training Course

Hosted By Walnut Creek CERT

Walnut Creek CERT is hosting a Ham Radio certification course a series of three classes which will give you the skills and knowledge to become part of CERT's radio communications team.

Walnut Creek CERT Ham Radio Training Class Registration

Part 1 - Prepare for and take the FCC license exam - Saturday, May 4th from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
 
Part 2 - "CERT Getting on the Air" class 1 - Thursday, May 23rd from 6:30 -8:30 p.m.

Part 3 - "CERT Getting on the Air" class 2 - Thursday, June 20th from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.  Learn how to use your new radio.
 
Part 1 cost is $30, payable at the door, and includes the $15 FCC license Examination Fee; all training materials; continental breakfast; and a pizza or sub sandwich lunch. There is no additional charge for Parts 2 and 3.
 
The 3-part series qualifies for CERT recertification.
 

More than Earthquakes

Earthquakes are always on the forefront of disaster preparedness in California, but there are many, many other kinds of natural disasters that could affect Pleasant hill. Heat waves, wildfires, and flooding can all be dangerous, and each have unique elements that must be prepared for.

Neighborhood Disaster Preparation

Your neighbors don't want to commit to the 6 week CERT course?  We have a great opportunity for them without the long term class commitment.

Disaster Prep Class

We have prepared a 90 minute “Disaster Prep” Powerpoint Presentation that can be presented to neighborhood watch groups, homeowner associations, church groups, PTSA groups, clubs, or any other organization that wishes to learn how to better prepare themselves, their families, and their homes for a major earthquake.
